INEC: names of successful applicants released


The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has



 released names of successful applicants to observe the 2019



 elections.



This was disclosed on its official website

.
The commission in a statement announced that they will “Observe



 the 2019 general elections holding on 16th February, 2019 and 2nd



 March, 2019.







House of Representatives 

The approval came after the adoption of the report by the adhoc



committee set up on the New Minimum Wage Bill presented to the



National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday.



Passing the bill for the third reading on Tuesday, the lawmakers




unanimously approved the N30,000 recommendation by the




committee in consonance with the resolution by the tripartite






committee set up by the President.



Buhari had in the executive bill sought the approval of N27,000 as




against the N30,000 agreed by the stakeholders.

NJC to Onnoghen: you have seven days to respond to pettion against you

The National Judicial Council has given the suspended Chief



 Justice



 of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, and the acting CJN, Tanko



Muhammad, 
seven working days to respond to petitions against them.


The council gave the ultimatum at its emergency meeting held in



 Abuja on Tuesday. The two men did not attend the meeting.

10 Million Naira Thief Arrested In Lagos

The 26-year-old woman Joy Amachi worked as a nanny with her employer before she was accused of stealing jewelries worth 10 million Naira from her employer.


The prosecutor, Inspector Philip Osijiale, told the Tinubu Magistrate's Court in Lagos  on Wednesday that  the accused connived with some others still at large to steal the property on Sept. 21, on Carlton Gate Estate, Lekki Lagos.

Angry Community Youths Lynch An Okada Rider

Francis Uroh, a native of Amasiri community, had on
Saturday conveyed a passenger to Ehugbo

Senate To FCT Residents: Kill Any Cow Found In Abuja City

The Senate, through its Committee on FCT, Monday, asked residents of Abuja metropolis  to, henceforth, slaughter cows found in the city centre.

Man Throws His 3Year-Old Brother Into The River And Watch Him Drown

25-year-old man, Ogobuchi Ogbonna, has reportedly
killed his three-year-old stepbrother, Wisdom Ogbonna, at
Ndebor Nchoko village, Igbeagu community in Izzi Local
Government Area of Ebonyi State. Ogobuchi allegedly tied

Mr Chris Nwigwe who is the Acting Manager of the Station, told
