The United State Suspends Humanitarian Assistance Mission In Borno State

In a statement made available to newsmen by UNICEF
Nigeria,Chief of Communication,Doune who said The United State temporarily suspended humanitarian assistance
missions pending review of the security situation in
Borno state. He said this is
due to an attack on a humanitarian convoy in Borno
state on Thursday.
“The convoy was in a remote area of northeastern
Nigeria, where protracted conflict has caused extreme
suffering and has triggered a severe malnutrition
crisis..”
“UNICEF can confirm that a UNICEF
driver and an IOM
contractor were injured in the attack and are being
treated at a local hospital. All other UNICEF, IOM and
UNFPA staff are safe.”the statement says.
” Conflict in northeast Nigeria has caused extreme
suffering and triggered a severe malnutrition crisis.
Children need our help!”
“This was not only an attack on humanitarian workers.
It is an attack on the people who most need the
assistance and aid that these workers were bringing.”it
added.

18-years-old Girl Sales Her 16 Months Old Baby For N300,000

18 years old Ezinne who hails from Isu Mbaneze in Ohaozara Local
Government Area of Ebonyi state claimed that a friend
convinced her to sell her daughter, Chisom Rapheal,
whom she had out of wedlock when she was arrested by The Enugu State Police Command alongside 2 other
people,

According to a statement issued on, July 27 by the
Command:
“Ezinne decided to keep the child, although things were
no longer working smoothly for her while at home until
her bossom friend identified as one Promise Godwin,a
20 year of Isu Mbaneze Ohazara Local Government
Area of Ebonyi state approached her to come up to
Enugu with the child with a promise that somebody
was going to take care of Ezinne and little Chisom
Raphael.
“She later join the friend in Enugu where she secured
an accommodation at coal camp axis but later found
out that the friend has abandoned her husband and
headed for commercial sex work at Four corners
Junction Enugu with her little baby probably to make
ends meet.
“It was further revealed that sometime in the month of
march 2016, Promise Godwin having perfected the
purchase of little chisom at the rate of three hundred
thousand nairal with 46 year old Gloria Okafor from
Uturu but married to now late Sunday Okafor of Umudi
Lokpanta in Abia state whose major occupation is to
get and sell babies to prospective buyers within uturu,
lokanta Abia state and its environs.
“It was further gathered that following the
establishment of the sales understanding between
Ezinne and Promise with Gloria Okafor the dealer in the
trade, little chisom Raphael was taken to limca Bus
stop at Okigwe Imo state along Enugu Portharcourt
Express way Okigwe where Chisom was sold to Gloria
Okafor at the rate of Three Hundred Thousand Naira
and money given to the mother of chisom in cash at the
expense of her child and they all came back to Enugu
where the money according to Ezinne and Promise was
shared as follows; Two Hundred Thousand Naira to
Ezinne the mother of the sold child, fifty thousand naira
to Promise while the remaining fifty thousand Naira
went to the motorcyclist working with Godwin Promise
in the Four Corner Brothel where she is staying.
“Gloria Okafor having been nabbed revealed how she
bought the child from the duo of Ezinne and Promise
but maintained that the child was later handed over to
the buyer that same day and the buyer is now at large
and further revealed that Godwin Promise who is
already 8month pregnant and also with a child of one
year and a month baby, has also perfected
arrangement to sell off the baby whom she named
Chiadikaobi to a prospective buyer before they were
nabbed by the eagle eyed operatives of the Central
Police station of the Nigeria Police Enugu state
command that have laid their dragnets to all corners.
“Suspects are now helping police in their
investigations and begging for forgiveness but however
blamed the situation to act of Satan.
“Meanwhile, the state commissioner of police
Emmanuel Ojukwu has advised youth to know the type
of friend they keep in order to become meaningful to
themselves and the entire society.”

Davido Gives Out Scholarship

Music superstar Davido is taking time out to do
something inspiring.
He has set up a scholarship program to ensure that as
many people as he can help get education actually do.
The artiste, whose father is a billionaire, made this
known on Tuesday, in a post on his Instagram page.
“I plan to send people to school every year”, said
Davido, who also revealed that the scholarship will be
in his late mother’s name.
“So many people deserve education.. Starting from this
year I plan to start the Veronica Adeleke Education
Scholarship program.”
“I’m starting from 4 students this year details will be
released soon on how to apply. Do your part to make
the world better, even if you start small… at least start”,
the artiste said.
He shared on Instagram ““So many people deserve

on how to apply…. DO YOUR PART TO MAKE THE

The singer, fondly called Omo Baba Olowo (OBO), has a
history of granting education aid.
Davido once promised to take a little boy out of street
hawking business and pay for his education up until
the university level.
“Every child deserves an education but it’s sad that,
that is not the case in the world today but if we all do
our part, the world would be a better place. God bless
his soul. I am ready to give him education till he
finishes university”, the artiste had announced on
social media.
In another instance, the HKN label boss, tweeted that he
was in the mood to give out an unspecified amount of
money.
After getting tons of requests from fans, Davido settled
on Jide Sanyaolu, a Nigerian who had just dropped out
of the University of Liverpool, UK.
Jide, who was studying Electronics and
Communications Engineering, had taken a year’s break
from school because his parents couldn’t afford the
£24,700 tuition required to continue his studies.
Despite having raised £4000 in donations from crowd-
funding platform, gofundme.com, Davido offered to give
him an additional N1 million to clear his school fees.
Davido, who recently graduated from Babcock
University, has a strong educational background.
His late mother, Dr Veronica Imade Adeleke, who died
in 2003, was a lecturer at Babcock University, an
institution where her husband has a substantial stake.
Davido’s father, Deji Adeleke is also the pro-chancellor
of privately owned Adeleke University, in Ede, Osun
state.
