Bizarre: Woman Feed Day Old Baby To Dog

Tragedy struck in Saika village of Batsari local government
area of Katsina State recently when a family of five were
allegedly held over feeding their dog with the body of their
day-old baby boy. Daily Trust gathered that the baby was
conceived out of wedlock and the family, which felt
ashamed of the action of their daughter, chose to get rid of
it.
Already, the five accused - 15-year-old Wasila Halilu (who
gave birth to the baby), her three stepbrothers - Mohammed
Bello (45), Musa Bello (35) and Umar Bello (27) and her
mother Fa’iza Umar, have been apprehended by the police
and charged to court.
Sources said Wasila was allegedly impregnated by one
Musa Garba who lured her to a farm and forcefully had sex
with her.
The matter was reported to the police by the Village Head of
Saika according to the Police First Information Report read
at the court during their arraignment.
The accused are facing a three-count charge of culpable
homicide, criminal conspiracy and rape.
During the hearing, police prosecuting officer, Altine Ragiji
told the court that the actions of the accused contravened
sections 235, 387 and 85 of the Penal Code.
The Chief Magistrate Nura Ladan asked for further
investigation into the matter and remanded the accused in
police custody. He adjourned the case to August 8, for
further hearing.

In Akwa Ibom;Teenagers Arrested While Trying To Sale A Human Skull

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command on Thursday
arrested four teenage boys who allegedly trade in human
parts.
The teenagers were arrested by operatives of the Criminal
Investigation Department, CID, when they were reportedly
looking for a buyer of a human skull in their possession.
Confirming the arrest to newsmen while parading the
suspects – Emmanuel Edet Ikot, 17, from Edeabasi, Oron;
Ubong Udong, 18; Bright Effiong Okon, 19 and Okon Ita, 20,
from Orukim, before newsmen on Thursday, the Police
spokesperson, Delia Nwawe, spoke on behalf of the Police
Commissioner, Mr. Murtala Mani, saying the suspects were
arrested following tip off.
Nwawe said, “They were arrested by officers of the CID of
the command in Mbo Local Government Area on receiving
an alert from vigilant youths in the area.
“Investigations are ongoing and the suspects will be
charged to court soon for the law to take its course.”
Meanwhile, Edet, who is the alleged leader of the group,
denied the accusation.
