Christ Embassy Church Razed with fire that destroys millions naira worth of properties

On Wednesday 12 August at about 4am, fire razed a section of the  Christ Embassy Church building in  Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos leading to the loss of properties worth over millions of naira.

The fire was said to be cause by a burning heap of refuse around the church building and engulfed four 40-feet  containers used as storage facilities  which contained electrical Appliances, some piece of furniture and pumping machines,  kept within the church premises.

According to an eye witness, the fire was put off by fire fighters from the Alausa Fire Station and some of the Church Workers.
He further said that the fire started from the heap of refuse that were being burnt near the containers and soon engulfed the containers and caused gridlock and panic in the area and that the fire lasted for about two hours.

According to the Director, Lagos State Fire Service Rasaq Fadipe who said he got the distress call around 5am and immediately deployed 2 trucks from the Alausa Fire Station to the scene. He also

 confirmed that no life was lost and the situation had been put under control
