Folashade Jayeoba, who is a mother of four was held
hostage alongside her children by a three-man armed robbery gang who reportedly attacked her in her home in Akure.
It was gathered that the leader of the gang , a 23-year-old identified as Samuel Ayodele requested for the victims ATM card after the victim complained of having no cash at home where she was attacked and they led her to the ATM to withdraw N90,000.
According to the Ondo State Police Commissioner, Hilda Harrison, while parading the suspects said they invaded the house of the victim and robbed her of valuables, including a flat-screen television.
“The victim and her four children were abducted and led to Keystone Bank in Alagbaka, Akure, where she was forced to withdraw N90,000 and was set free after collected the money from her.
The victim alerted the police about the incident which led to the arrest of the leader of the gang at Gaga Oke-Aro area in Akure.
On interrogation, he confessed to the crime, while the victims’ items were recovered from the culprit’s house.
