Members of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA)
have urged members of the National Union of
Petroleum and Natural Gas (NUPENG) and the
Petroleum and Gas Senior Staff Association of
Nigeria (PENGASSAN) to vacate all oil fields
and terminals in the Niger Delta.
The group also asked expatriates to leave too,
vowing that it’s renewed onslaught on oil
facilities “will be dirty very soon.”
Spokesperson of NDA, Brig. Gen. Mudock
Agbinibo, gave the threats in a statement
posted on the group’s website on Wednesday.
“We are warning Nupeng and Pengassan to
leave all oil field and terminals in the Niger
delta because it will be going to be dirty very
soon.
“Foreigners are to leave too,” the NDA
warned.
Agbinibo, who claimed that the militant group
was already winning the war against the
Nigerian state, said it was appalling that every
criminal nabbed by security operatives in the
Niger Delta was being tagged member of the
Avengers.
He described the development, particularly on
the part of the Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria
Army as unprofessional and a means to
continue to fleece the Federal Government of
taxpayers’ money.
“Contrary to local news that Nigeria Navy has
arrested Niger Delta Avengers logistics
supplier is the biggest joker of the
21st century.
“As it now any Tom, Dick and Harry is a
suspect of Niger Delta avengers. Nigeria Navy
has lost the sense of professionalism.
“The Nigeria military arrested school students
in Oporoza and called them the Niger Delta
Avengers, any criminal caught is NDA, even
their Business partners (Illegal Oil bunkers)
with which things went south are NDA, Sea
pirates are now NDA,” he averred.
The militants’ mouth-piece said it was
unfortunate that the Nigerian military has
continued to deny their (NDA’s) dastardly
operations against oil and gas installations,
adding that he personally led the team that
bombed the Qua Iboe Export terminal
belonging to Exxonmobil in Akwa-Ibom last
week.
“When Niger Delta Avengers carries out any
major attack they (Nigeria Military) will deny
it. First? was the NNPC pipeline that was
blown; second the 48-inches Exxonmobil
pipeline that was blown by NDA.
“Mobil and the Government denied it. Only for
Exxonmobil to declare false majeure few days
after the attack.
“We want the general public to know the Qua
Iboe export pipeline is down right now,” he
disclosed.
Agbinibo described the Qua Iboe Export
terminal as a subsidiary of Mobil and the
biggest export stream in Nigeria, adding that
no less than one million barrel of crude oil was
exported every 48 hours.
He advised the leadership of the Nigerian
military to stop deceiving the general public
and President Muhammadu Buhari on the true
state of Avengers’ activities in the region.
“They should come out with the truth in Akwa
Ibom instead of saying Niger Delta Avengers
didn’t blow up their line but system anomaly.
“Shame on the Nigeria Military,” the group
submitted.
The militants boasted that there was no way
the Nigerian military would be able to get at
them, saying very soon, Nigerians and the
Federal Government would soon realize that
NDA was indomitable.
“Reports from our intelligent agent, the only
way funds can be allocated to various
department of the Military is only when they
(Nigeria Military) arrest the Niger Delta
Avengers operatives.
“But soonest, the Nigeria public and their
commander in Chief will now the Military is
not capable to handle the Niger Delta
Avengers.
“How do you explain a military officer having a
house in choice areas in Nigeria and outside
the country? Nigeria serving and retired top
officers are the richest people in Nigeria.
“How do they get such wealth? Right now, they
are using Niger Delta Avengers to defraud the
Nigeria government and tax payers of their
money.
“We want to make this clear, all Niger Delta
Avengers operatives are intact, our intelligent
agencies are all intact and our operative team
are in high spirit because we are winning the
war.
