The chair man He disclosed that the FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello,
constituted the task force to recover more than N9 billion
owed AEPB by various Ministries, Departments and
Agencies as well as private and corporate bodies resident in
the FCT.
According to him, the board obtained three court summons
against the hospital, but the NHA failed to comply.
Reacting to the incident, Dr. Adetayo Haastrup, the
hospital’s spokesperson, described the situation as a rude
shock, a national embarrassment and an inhuman act
considering the health services rendered by the facility.
Haastrup confirmed that the AEPB told the hospital
management that the board had a court injunction to
recover the debts.
The spokesman also said that the hospital only received the
paper for payment of bill of the said amount in June.
He explained that the NHA had made series of attempts to
pay up the bill but that the accounts kept bouncing and that
the hospital management had explained the challenges to
the board.

Agency, AEPB ought to give room for bargaining with the
indebted party before resorting to the “seal-off” option.

Sex Scandal; Video Evidence Of Nigerian Law Makers Soliciting For Sex From Prostitutes In Ohio To Be Released

The three members according to the letter from the
U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria to the Speaker are
Mohammed Garba Gololo (APC, Bauchi); Samuel Ikon
(PDP, Akwa Ibom) and Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue).
Entwistle, had in the petition to Dogara alleged that the
actions of the three lawmakers at the International
Visitor Leadership Programme in Cleveland, Ohio, USA,
from 7th to 13th April, 2016, brought disrepute to the
parliament by soliciting for sex from prostitutes and
grabbing hotel housekeeper in a bid to rape.
Apart from the outgoing United State Of America Ambassador James Entwistle that is
expected at the open public hearing, the Committee
also extended invitation to the Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema, Committee for the Defence of
Human Rights, the three accused lawmakers, the
National Human Rights Commission, as well as the
other seven members that attended the leadership
programme.
Chairman of the Committee, Rep Ossai is reported to
have said that the committee decided not to invite the
management of the hotel the alleged sex misconduct
took place because it believed that the Ambassador
would come with all the necessary video evidence
where the accused committed the action. Besides, he
said that the Committee did not carry out any secret
investigation because the members involved in the
allegation had demanded public investigative hearing
for Nigerians to see their culpability or otherwise.
Speaker, Dogara, mandated the Ossai-led Ethics
Committee alongside the Foreign Affairs after the
House resolution at plenary on Tuesday, 21st June,
telling it to investigate the culpability of the three
members involved in the alleged sex misconduct.
He described the assignment as a very serious one
where many people had already made their conclusion
that the three accused lawmakers were wrong. “The
standard in the US is that an accused is assumed
innocent until proven guilty and that is the same
standard in Nigeria. Any one who has evidence can
now see the committee” Dogara said

heinous, has happened in the northcentral state of
Plateau,Nigeria
In a remote and sleepy hamlet of Kanke local

that her breasts were developing, still, they attributed it
to early adolescence .Their fears were confirmed after
tests were carried out on her when they noticed her
protuberant tummy.
