28-year-old Jumps From A Five Storey Building

28-year-old British tourist has died after falling from a holiday
apartment in the Algarve resort of Albufeira. He was pronounced dead at the scene
after plunging from a fifth-floor balcony at the Janelas
do Mar Apartments in the seaside destination.
He was with two friends who were asleep at the time
and told police they had not realised their friend had
plummeted to his death.
The tragedy happened around 4.30am on Tuesday
morning.
The receptionist is understood to have alerted
authorities after hearing a loud noise and going outside
to find the victim lying on the ground.
The British man has not been named and a post-
mortem is due to take place.
Police from the GNR force in Albufeira have launched a
routine investigation into what they think was an
accident.
Local firefighter chief Francisco Abreu said:

“We are today lamenting the loss of
life of a British holidaymaker aged
28.”
“The victim was already lying on the
ground when a team arrived and was
pronounced dead at the scene.”

The tragic death comes just days after fellow Brit
Christopher Beattie, 33, from Glasgow, died after falling
from a block of holiday flats in the Ibizan party resort of
San Antonio.
