The police have arrested mr Obinna Nwankpa from Imo state for attempting to sell his wife and baby to some persons. He was caught by the vigilance group of Ohakelem and Akpala communities in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo state.
The Police Public Relation Officer mr Andrew Enwerem when confirming the incident to our reporters also said investigation was going on.

Said mr Obinna Nwankpa and mr Ben Echeberemeze were apprehended while the main person who introduced the suspect Nwankpa to the business escaped. He further said they received information that the suspect had invited his wife to come his baby to an uncompleted building close to the bush and while he was there waiting for them to come and negotiating the deal they (vigilance group) arrived and arrested him.
He further said they recovered from the scene two motorcycles and they handed the two suspects they arrested and the motorcycles to the Umuneke Police station. According to the monarch of the community the suspect that flee has previously indulged in kidnapping, child theft and human trafficking. He urged the government to investigate the matter and punish the offenders to avoid the incidents happening again
