Kachukwu To Nigerians: Fuel Queues Will Begin To Disappear From April 7th

The lingering queues at filling stations nationwide will
begin to disappear by April 7.
The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, gave
the assurance in Abuja when he appeared before the Senate
Committee on Petroleum to intimate them with the effort
done to make fuel available.
He told the Senate that the Ministry had developed a
programme that would ensure the constant availability of
sixty percent of the daily fuel need of consumers.
The Minister said the lingering fuel crisis was the product of
decades of fraudulent practices that overwhelmed the
Ministry, which had left what he described as the
“monstrous chain of problems that had ushered in the
annoying scarcity of petrol”.
He advised Nigerians to stop hoarding fuel to help clear the
long queues at filling stations.
He however said the country would rely on the newly-
developed programme for fuel supply until its refineries
were fully rehabilitated.

Bizzare: Army Applicant Take Exam In Underwear

In an extreme attempt to prevent cheating during a
written exam , Indian Army in the state of Bihar has asked
over 1, 000 applicants to strip to their underwear and take
the test outdoors .
Images published by Indian media show the unclad men
in an open field trying to complete the test by holding the
sheets of paper on their thighs or on the ground , under
the watchful eyes of uniformed supervisors. “We were
frisked and then ushered into an enclosure . Then the
army officers asked us to remove all clothes except our
underwear , ” said 21 - year - old Harishambhu Kumar . “ I felt
awkward , but the army people told us it was to check
cheating , so I got used to it . ”
The bizarre army recruitment exam took place on
February 28 and has drawn criticism from the state ’ s
high court , which has sought an explanation from India ’ s
Ministry of Defense after a lawyer filed a petition against
the army . “The decision to ask candidates to appear for
the exams without a shirt , trouser or vest is simply
bizarre , ” lawyer Dinu Kumar said. “Those who showed
reluctance to remove their clothes were asked to leave . It
was insulting. ”
Officers responsible for the outrageous requirement don’ t
seem to remorseful , though . Colonel V . S . Godhra ,
director of the Army Regional Office in Muzaffarpur, said
the over 1, 000 candidates were asked to strip to their
underwear and sit in an open field to prevent them from
hiding any cheat sheets in their clothes or under the
desks and chairs . “I am entitled to take all precautions
necessary . In the past year , there have been two
instances of candidates hiding cheating slips and mobile
phones in their vests and undergarments, ” he was quoted
as saying, by the Press Trust of India . “We did not insult
anybody or subjected anyone to cruelty. No examinee
complained , so why outsiders are making a hue and cry
over the matter. ”

stop . “ Take a look up and I see massive amounts of
money flying down the highway , ” he said. “So I walk out

the place . ”

At Least 22 People Have Been Confirmed Dead From The Explosion In Maiduguri

03-2016
At least 22 people have been killed after a suicide bomber
hit a mosque in Maiduguri.
17 others were also wounded and evacuated to the hospital.
It occurred during early morning prayers on Wednesday.
Correspondent reports that the first bomb went off from one
of the suicide bombers whom had disguised as a man in
order to be able to join the worshipers.
The second bomber, who was outside the mosque,
detonated her bomb when sympathisers rushed to the
scene.
It is the third attack on Umarari, a village occupied by
people dislodged by insurgents in adjoining villages.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the
Boko Haram terrorist group is largely suspected to be
responsible.
The group had claimed responsibility for similar attacks in
the past.
The attack came a day after the Chief of Army Staff,
Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, said he was confident
that Boko Haram would be eliminated in Nigeria.
He had said that troops fighting insurgents in the northeast
were doing so with utmost commitment and renewed zeal.
He gave the assurance on Tuesday at the office of the Oyo
State Governor during his one-day familiarisation tour of
the Two Division of Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi
Cantonment, Odogbo in Ibadan.
According to Buratai, the intensity of the onslaught against
terrorism has been increased and this has resulted in the
noticeable reduction of attacks in the region.

OMG! Woman Gives Birth To Triplet At Home On Her Own Against Doctor's Orders

A housewife, Mrs. Blessing Etoor, defied doctor’s
instruction that she would be delivered of her babies by
Caesarean section.
Mrs. Etoor, an indigene of Eleme in Rivers State by
marriage, who now has 10 children (six girls and four
boys) through multiple births, eventually gave birth to
triplets around 1am on Monday at home the natural way
without going through the knives.
It was gathered that Mrs. Etoor, who was formerly a hair
dresser, was able to push for the first baby to come out
before help finally came her way from a local nurse.
Narrating how she was delivered of the remaining two
babies, Mrs. Etoor, said her husband was able to bring in
somebody that helped her.
She said, “I gave birth to the babies in the house. I was not
feeling labour; I was just calling on my husband to give me
water to take my bath. I sat back and lay down. Just as I
was sleeping, water began to rush out.
“Then I asked my husband to run out and bring somebody
to take me to the hospital. But then he should ask his
younger brother to come and stay with me. Before the
brother came, it was like something was coming out of me.
“I asked my children to help me stay on the ground. I was
calling my first daughter, Faith, to help me. Just as I lay
down with my back on the ground, I started feeling the
baby trying to come out.
“I pushed and the first baby came out. So, I called on my
husband to bring somebody in to help me. With the help, I
was able to be delivered of the other two babies.”
Mrs. Etoor pointed out that her two elder sisters had given
birth to twins, stressing that her family has a history of
multiple births.
People have been visiting the one-bedroom apartment of
the Etoors on hearing how the woman from Ekiti State
shunned doctor’s directive and gave birth to triplets at
home.
Her husband, Mr. John Etoor, recalled that he had kicked
against the Caesarean section written on her card by the
doctor at the General Hospital, Nchia, because none of his
wife’s family had the history of undergoing such a method
of giving birth.
He added that though he never prayed for multiple births,
he had accepted them because they were given to him by
God.
Mr. Etoor, however, called for financial support from
government and public-spirited individuals, adding that the
babies were currently at home while the doctors had,
according to him, told him to bring the babies when they
are in stable condition.
